Future Festivals Fund
In 2015, having successfully met our initial 2014 fundraising target for the Future Festivals Fund, we relaunched the fund with an ambitious target of £100,000 by 2020. By December 2015 we have achieved 40% of our target. The Fund will enable us to:
- Continue to present May Festivals for the next 5 years
- Bring more world-class musicians to play alongside Ensemble 360
- Make a new series of festival recordings, live and in-the-round
- Attract an ever-widening audience to our concerts and to Sheffield
Donors Hear it First!
Donors will be invited to a Future Festivals Forum to talk to Angus Smith, Artistic Director, and musicians from Ensemble 360 and get a sneak preview of festivals to come.
Future Festivals Fund Patron
We're delighted that John Suchet, presenter of Classic FM's morning programme and supporter of Music in the Round, has agreed to continue as our Future Festivals Fund Patron.
" Music in the Round is a huge success story and one of the most inspiring festivals in the country. I will never forget taking part in their Beethoven festival in 2005. The experience of being so close to the musicians, the warmth and passion of the audience, and the rapport between them was extraordinary.
I first encountered the organisation in 1995 when it won the Royal Philharmonic Society Award for best Festival and Concert Series, and I've been delighted to watch it grow into a country-wide operation with an unswerving commitment for taking chamber music to people and places it wouldn't otherwise go.
This fund is as much about the future of chamber music as it is about Music in the Round and I urge you to donate generously for the sake of future generations of audiences and musicians."
