Nurturing Talent

Through the Nurturing Talent strand, we help to develop skills in, and appreciation of, high-quality music through participation and performance.

Roughly equating to Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 (ages 11-18), Nurturing Talent offers projects through which young instrumentalists, composers, and singers can deepen their performance experience, reach new levels of achievement, find inspiration, and develop creative flair. Projects provide access to professional musicians and performance venues, and include high-quality repertoire by a range of composers of varied styles.

In May 2015, as part of our May Festival 'Celebrating Youth and Experience', we supported three budding events managers to design and run activities throughout the festival as the May Festival Assistants.

You can read more about Nurturing Talent in these pages.
