Forward thinkers, rule-breakers and stylistic shapers. Two outstanding young performers present a dynamic programme exploring violin works by CPE Bach – JS’s most famous and talented son! - and other composers who were instrumental in changing compositional styles of the day.

Violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen is already established as a concerto performer with leading groups sich as the BBC orchestras, the RPO and the LPO. Tamsin is a current holder of the prestigious European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) Rising Stars Awards.

Described by The Daily Telegraph as ‘in a class of his own’, pianist James Baillieu has been the prize-winner of the Wigmore Hall Song Competition, Das Lied International Song Competition, Kathleen Ferrier and Richard Tauber Competitions and in 2016 was shortlisted for the Royal Philharmonic Society Outstanding Young Artist Award.
