Park Hall gardens, Chesterfield to be opened to public in fundraiser for Music in the Round
Sunday 25 June, 2 – 5.30pm
Park Hall, Walton Back Lane, Walton, Chesterfield S42 7LT
The delightful English country garden at Park Hall will be open to the public for an OpenGarden event in aid of Music in the Round’s Bridge scheme supporting young string quartets and the Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
The event includes short musical performances, plants for sale and refreshments throughout the afternoon.
Kim Staniforth, of Park Hall, Chesterfield said:
“Margaret and I think you will enjoy coming to visit this garden. It’s 2 acres in size, it surrounds a 17th century farmhouse and it’s a historic garden, laid out in the 1920s by a Chesterfield industrialist. There’s a south facing terraced garden with water features, a parkland with forest trees at least 200 years old, our croquet lawn and a new millennium garden that we created in the year 2000.”
