“One of the world’s finest young string quartets” (the New Yorker), and winner of four prizes at the prestigious Banff String Quartet Competition in Canada, the Dover Quartet is Quartet-in-Residence at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
For this debut Studio recital, the Philadelphia-based quartet has paired Hindemith’s concise and passionate Third Quartet with Brahms’s Quartet in B flat, featuring tender viola melodies, and described by the composer as “very dainty, but brilliant!”.
