MOZART String Quartet No.16 K428
JANÁČEK String Quartet No.1 Kreutzer Sonata

The Marmen Quartet first came to Sheffield in 2015, as the first participants of our Bridge scheme coaching young musicians through their transition into the professional world of music. Since then, the Marmen Quartet has established itself as one of the world’s most impressive young string quartets, winning prestigious awards and competitions across the globe.

“Powerfully led by a first violin full of sparkling virtuosity and elegance… the Marmen Quartet rendered the immense violence and deep sensuality of Janáček’s Kreutzer Sonata palpable.” Diapason
