Composing Harmony for Wind Quintet

Andy introduces the principles of writing harmony, and incorporating both consonance and dissonance into your compositions. He uses British composer Malcolm Arnold’s Three Shanties to show how well known tunes can be changed with different harmonic writing and challenges you to develop new music by composing different harmonies for well known tunes.
