Jean Toussaint is an American jazz tenor and soprano saxophonist.

As a band leader in the UK and Europe, he has played with many British musicians including, among others, Steve Williamson, Courtney Pine, Julian Joseph, Jason Rebello and Cleveland Watkiss.

One of the most revered jazz educators in the UK he received the Parliamentary Award for Jazz Education in 2018. His bands play swinging, surging, straight-ahead contemporary jazz with a strong emphasis on melody.

Jean has released 12 critically acclaimed albums, appearing in many top 10 lists in The Telegraph, Jazzwise, The Sunday Times, The Guardian and Jazz in Europe and won Best Instrumentalist at the 2019 Jazz FM Awards.
