CHOPIN Waltz in A minor Op.34 No.2 (5’)
BEETHOVEN Piano Sonata No.27
(15’)
MOZART Kegelstatt Trio K498 (21’)

This concert, recorded at CAST, our partner venue in Doncaster, begins with Chopin’s short Waltz is a portrait of deep sadness, shot through with moments of sunny hope. This is followed by one of Beethoven’s more popular piano sonatas, a work that moves from an intense and energetic opening through to a soulful and sedate conclusion. The Kegelstatt Trio is one of Mozart’s most well-loved pieces, full of optimistic lyricism as the clarinet shows off its pyrotechnics with fingers flying over the keys!
