“One of the finest nights of entertainment this city has to offer.” The New Yorker

Wesley Stace, hailed by Rolling Stone as “a literate and ironic neo-folkie”, brings his legendary New York cabaret show to Sheffield for the very first time.

Guests already announced include the writers Jackie Kay, “one of the most prolific and insightful poets currently writing in the UK” (Aesthetica), and Paul Muldoon, “the most significant English-language poet born since the second World War” (The Times Literary Supplement). They will be joined by stars of comedy and music hand-picked by the renowned singer-songwriter to perform along with Ensemble 360 and Errollyn Wallen. Expect the unexpected in an anarchic carnival of creativity.

“[Wesley Stace’s] genial manner and sharp wit means that his little black book of contacts is extensive, including all the musicians and authors you’ve heard of, and many that you haven’t.” theafterword.co.uk
