As a singer, I am always thinking about the ways stories and storytelling provide a route into music. From the theatrical and operatic thrills of Poulenc and Beckett to the pure nostalgic joy of Prokofiev’s ‘Peter and the Wolf’; from Brontë poetry through Nordic sagas to Kafka’s diaries: this Festival celebrates the power and humanity of the written word.
As such, I am very excited to share my plans for Sheffield Chamber Music Festival 2026.
I hope you might be tempted to discover something new, along with the many opportunities to enjoy some much-loved staples of chamber music repertoire.
I look forward to sharing it all with you in Sheffield next May.
